Frequently Asked Questions
Can I show up without booking in advance? Not for reformer classes, private sessions, or special events/workshops. Due to limited spacing and full schedules you must book prior to coming to the studio.
Public mat classes - mat Pilates, yoga, and belly dancing - do not require advanced booking, though it is recommended.
What if I have never done Pilates before? This is the right place for you!
Beginner Reformer classes are the place to start - you’ll learn about the equipment, language, and common movements and engagements.
If you have limited mobility or are not confident practicing in a group, private lessons are the way to go - you can sign up with our booking software or reach out if you have questions.
Sometimes one or two individual sessions are all you need to be prepared for public classes.
What do I need to wear and bring for Pilates equipment classes?Clothes meant for working out. Anything with belt loops or a harder waistband may feel uncomfortable while lying down. We generally practice barefoot or with grippy socks.
Water, a towel if you feel particularly sweaty, and a mat when applicable, are all good options to bring with you.
There are some mats available to borrow at the studio.
For classes, children need to be at least 4ft tall to utilize the reformer.
It is up to the parent to assess their child’s capacity for attending the studio and it is the responsibility of the parent to monitor behavior.
There is a couch and books/toys for children to hang out if you cannot find care. We get how hard it can be to stay mentally and physically healthy with little ones! Any disturbances must be handled by the parent even if that means leaving early.
Are kids allowed? If I have limited mobility, either temporary or long-term, can I attend a class? It depends.
Short answer - yes.
Long answer - yes but your confidence in getting on and off the equipment or the floor, your comfort with modifying the work in front of a group, and your awareness of your body and your capacity to move will all play a role in whether or not a one-on-one is a better option, even temporarily.
You can reach out for a quick chat if unsure.
What is your cancellation policy?Cancellation is allowed up to 24hrs prior to class or a private session to avoid a 100% charge of session cost, with an option to reschedule.
Late cancellations are still appreciated because it allows someone from the waitlist to join.
Workshops and trainings will have their own cancellation policies.
Refunds are not possible.
I'm a man, can I come to the studio?A common question!
Anyone, who identifies any way, is welcome.
Please come in.
